Twin Lakes, ID–Idaho has a new state record fish.

On Friday, August 6, 2010, Kim Fleming and his friend went trout fishing on Twin Lakes, just north of Rathdrum. To his surprise he ended up reeling in a record-size Northern Pike. The fish measured at 40 lbs. 2 oz. Fleming spent the afternoon at Idaho Fish and Game verifying his catch. He said he spent more than ten minutes struggling with the fish before he finally pulled it in.

Bob Ringer of Post Falls held the previous record of 39 lbs. 13 oz. since 2007.

Fleming says he should be able to get a dinner and a half out of his new catch.

Ernest Hemingway

Every man’s life ends the same way. It is only the details of how he lived and how he died that distinguish one man from another.  -Ernest Hemingway

This is a great song written by Coho Brand contributing writer Bub Bennett.  Bub wrote this song while we were all camping in the mountains of Central Pennsylvania after the Purdue vs. Penn State game.

“Eventually all things merge into one and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world’s great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs.” – Norman Maclean – A River Runs Through It

This is pretty funny!

Musky Man

Self proclaimed “Musky Man” Kevin Lawhead strikes again.  Here is a nice fish he caught down in Lake Webster…shortly before he went and celebrated his catch at “Stimulators.”

As you can tell by this picture of my buddies, it was another day of sun and beers while out Musky fishing on Lake Webster in Northern Indiana.  “Webster Lake in northeast Kosciusko County has become a hotbed for muskie action over the past several years, and it looks like the fishing just continues to improve. Earlier this year, a number of muskies measuring 49 to 50 inches in length were caught and released at Webster, and it was no fluke. Big muskies dominate the fishery.”

I know its a late start, but here is a pic of my first Bass of the year.
